Kristen was fantastic and the Train house was a great stay!
I had a few questions on appliances and she immediately followed up.
We had a major appliance break and she responded immediately in person. She had it replaced by the following morning. Just outstanding hosts.
And the fire pit was great at night, the sauna was delightful.
And, we discovered, there’s a world class, Paul McBeth designed disc golf course (Goliath) just a few hundred yards walk up the street.
I’d definitely recommend the Train house!

We stayed for our wedding weekend and we are so glad we choose Kristen's place for such a memorable occasion in our lives. It was the perfect place to get ready for our wedding and relax once the festivities were over. We will forever be grateful for the memories we made while staying here, and we hope to return in the future to reminisce on such a wonderful stay.

Kristen’s home was perfect for our stay while we visited family in Forest. The place was clean and beautifully decorated and updated. The sauna was a nice touch! We will definitely stay there again!!

I loved everything about our stay. The house was cute and charming, and it was in the perfect location. Also, the hot tub was an absolute treat after hiking. The host was very responsive and accommodating for our stay. They included a whole binder with attraction and best restaurants to go to. This was one of our best Airbnb Stays!

We enjoyed our stay in the historic cabin! Kristen has done an amazing job remodeling to preserve its history yet add modern conveniences and comforts. We felt right at home. Highlights of our stay included seeing wildlife in the yard including 2 deer and several rabbits. We also were treated to fresh eggs from Kristen’s chickens. It took less than 30 minutes to get to Liberty University but felt like we were in the peaceful countryside. We would love to stay here again.

We loved staying here and found Kristen’s place to be top-notch. It was so clean and comfortable. We were visiting Liberty University for their Open House Weekend and I needed the two High school boys I brought to have their own sleeping and bathroom arrangements but not their own hotel room! It’s hard to find and Kristen’s was perfect! We will stay there again when we come back to LU! Kristen was so helpful and we didn’t lack anything. Loved the hot tub and comfortable bed. The showers had plenty of hot water and the bathrooms and everywhere was super clean! Thanks Kristen!

The Train House was beautifully decorated, comfortable and well-equipped. Kristen was always helpful and responsive. We loved the location, with the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. It was a great stay!

We had a wonderful time in this gem of a house. The renovation has been done with such expertise and love for detail. We loved all the subtle train references, but also the sauna, pacman arcade, great kitchen and bathroom and of course the visit from Ruby the goat.
Nearby Sharp Top Summit and the rest of Peaks of Otter is a great hiking area!

Kristen’s home was so charming and it was a wonderful stay for my family on a last minute day of booking. We used all her beds except the pullout sofa, including the pack and play; it was perhaps the best nights sleep I’ve had yet at an Airbnb.
I recommend setting the sauna before you go to bed for a nice session right after you wake up! It was helpful that there was shampoo and conditioner available under the sink because I forgot mine. We also appreciated the toys and books that she had upstairs.
All my children said “if this had an office for Dad, we’d want to live here.” Thank you again Kristen and may the Lord keep you!

Kristen’s place was outstanding! The home is so beautifully renovated and restored. It feels like home. The kitchen was just gorgeous and I’m sorry we didn’t have time to use it. She makes you feel so welcome and is so on top of communication. A main floor master is so uncommon and made our stay perfect because I am on crutches and could not do stairs. The beautiful walk-in master shower was perfect for me. I highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to come back again. So many of the homes we’ve stayed at in the Lynchburg area are no longer available so I hope Kristen’s place is available for years to come.
